Plum Sauce
Plum sauce is a sweet sour condiment. Plum sauce is made from selected quality of sour plum by Yuen Chun, Malaysia. This sauce features prominently in Chinese cuisine. The best known is the Peking Duck and Lemon Chicken. It can also be used as dip for fried finger foods such as fried spring rolls, deep fried chicken balls and fried chicken wings and also charboiled steaks and ribs.
Ingredients :-
Sugar, Plum Puree.
Cooking Instructions :-
Thai Style Seafood Salad
- Blanch squid (150gm) till cooked and drain well.
- Mix glass noodles (100gm), cucumber (1-julienne), chili padi (seeded and minced), pickled ginger (30 gm-julienne) in a large salad bowl.
- For the sauce. Mix chili sauce (1 tbsp), tomato sauce (1 tbsp), Yuen Chun Plum Sauce (1 tbsp), olive oil (1 tbsp), sesame oil and lemon juice (2 tsps each) and salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour over salad and mix well.
- Refrigerate salad and garnish with toasted dried prawns.
Serves 4 portions.
Preparation time: 15 minutes.
Cooking time: 5 minutes.
Important
Refrigerate after opening.
Colour may darken but will not affect quality.
No added MSG and preservatives.
Plum sauce tastes good as a dip for your fried finger food.
